Portuguese veteran coach Nuno Santo has left his position as coach of Al-Ittihad, after the great anger of the team’s fans during the past period due to the disappointing results.

Al-Ittihad lost to Al-Quwa Al-Iraqi by two clean goals, in the group stage of the AFC Champions League, which led the fans to vent their anger on the Portuguese coach.

A page that supports Al-Ittihad Saudi Arabia on the social networking site “Twitter” earlier and “x” currently, with more than half a million followers called “Ati Mania”, published a video entitled: “After a season and a half of training ‎#Al-Ittihad. . The story is over. . Nuno Santo outside the club’s walls with a sad ending”.

In the same context, media reports confirmed that the management of Al-Ittihad has decided to sack Santo from his position as technical director of the Saudi team, after the disastrous results that befell the team during the last matches.

Santo had lost to his compatriot Jorge Jesus, the coach of Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia, in the Roshan League derby with a score of 4/3, in a match that saw the Brigadier General lead with a score of 3/1, and wasting many scoring opportunities.
