He stated that the option of dropping a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip is on the table.

He was then asked about the lives of hostages held within the territory, to which he replied, “Their lives are not more important than the lives of Israeli soldiers.”

However, Amihai Eliahu quickly clarified this controversial statement, He posted on his official social media page, “X” confirming that his statements regarding the nuclear bomb were merely figurative, He wrote, “It is well known to all the wise that these statements concerning the nuclear bomb are metaphorical.”

Amihai Eliahu also added that Israel is greatly interested in the safe return of the hostages.

Following these provocative statements, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu intervened and decided to suspend all of Eliahu’s participation in government meetings until further notice, Netanyahu emphasized that these statements are clearly detached from reality.
