Google has announced a new update to its cloud storage application, “Drive,” allowing users to view two pages simultaneously when opening PDF files.
This feature proves to be highly useful when reading e-books, magazines, or when needing to compare text on consecutive pages.
Users can utilize this new side-by-side page view mode when using foldable smartphones and tablets in landscape mode.
To enable the dual-page view in PDF files, users can simply click on the dedicated icon next to the search button.
Google notes that this new feature is available to all Workspace subscribers, as well as those with free personal accounts.
The Google Drive application also allows users to open two different files side by side in the same interface.
Google has been diligently working for the past two years to enhance its applications to leverage the large screens of tablets and foldable smartphones.
The company regularly updates its applications and adds more changes and features to boost productivity.
Drawing and highlighting features were previously added to PDF files within the Drive application.
Google is currently testing an improvement for the file search feature within the app by incorporating filters to refine results and expedite accessibility.
It’s recommended that users update the application to the latest available version in the app store to enjoy these new features.
