South Korean star Son Heung-min led Tottenham Hotspur to victory yesterday, Friday, October 27, 2023, against Crystal Palace with a score of two goals to one. Son scored the winning goal for Spurs, reinforcing their position at the top of the English Premier League table.

The Australian coach spoke to the famous sports network Sky Sports after the match about the new role played by the South Korean star Son Heung-min, following the departure of Spurs’ star Harry Kane during the recent summer transfer window to the German giants Bayern Munich, Son has transformed from a left winger to a leading striker.

The Australian coach sees Son’s transformation from a winger to a striker as similar to what happened with the legendary Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo in recent years. Ronaldo’s position was initially on the wing, but coaches relied on him in the attacking position.

Postecoglou continued his statement, saying: “I always felt that Son was one of the great goal scorers, in addition to his amazing movements on the field and his high level of intelligence to play in the attacking position.”

Tottenham Hotspur is currently at the top of the English Premier League table after playing 10 matches in the competition, with 26 points, They have won 8 matches, drawn in 2 matches only, scored 22 goals, and conceded only 9 goals.
