The Rapid Surge of OLED Computer Screens in 2023

It is anticipated that computer OLED screens will make a substantial leap in comparison to 2022, the latest report from the Technavio research group clearly indicates a remarkable improvement in OLED screen shipments by the end of 2023, with an increase of 323%.

This tremendous increase in personal computer OLED screens signals their strong impact on the diverse screen market, the report also predicts that 2024 will witness a doubling of OLED screen shipments, exceeding one million units.

Among the dominant companies in the OLED screen market, LG takes the largest share, followed by Samsung, which is actively striving to match LG’s share by 2024, it is expected that Samsung will achieve a market share of 27% by the end of the second half of 2023.

Dell, as a third party, is making a strong effort to establish itself in the OLED screen market, with the company expected to gain a market share of over 20% by the end of 2023. Asus holds a decent but modest market share of 9%.

Other companies like Acer, AOC, Philips, and Corsair make up approximately 15% of the OLED screen market share. Currently, OLED screens from different companies come in various sizes and designs due to their high demand.

Nevertheless, 34 inches remains the most widespread size according to Technavio’s report, which confirms that 37% of OLED screens intended for computers are of 34-inch size.

OLED screens with a size of 27 inches have achieved 32% of the overall market share, while the 49-inch size also has a share of 14%. OLED screens are available in various sizes such as 45 inches, but they are less prevalent and only make up 10% of the market share.

Technavio’s report forecasts Samsung and LG’s focus on delivering 31.5-inch OLED computer screens by 2024, which will increase their market share by over 10%.

Despite this clear proliferation and high expectations, OLED TV screens have had an issue with the appearance of visible marks on the screen, making them stand out regardless of what you are watching or doing, as if there were a blemish on the screen.

The good news is that many major companies have found a solution to this problem through specific adjustments that have helped conceal this flaw, restoring confidence in OLED screens.
