Trump Reveals New Insights on Soleimani’s Killing and Takes a Swipe at Netanyahu During Florida Rally

In a surprising revelation during a recent public gathering in West Palm Beach, Florida, former U.S. President Donald Trump made striking comments about Israel’s involvement in the 2020 assassination of Qasem Soleimani, a top Iranian general. Trump, once a vocal supporter of Israel, unveiled previously undisclosed details about Israel’s role in the operation.

Trump’s comments on the involvement of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, were notably critical. He mentioned that although Israel had initially collaborated with the U.S. on the plan to strike Soleimani, Netanyahu backed out shortly before the operation was executed. Jesting at the Israeli leader, Trump remarked, “I will never forget how Bibi Netanyahu let us down. It was quite terrible.”

Further in his address, the former president pointed fingers at Israeli intelligence and military officials, suggesting their inability to anticipate the recent Hamas attack. Trump also noted comments made by Israeli generals on the vulnerabilities of the northern front, hinting at the potential threat from Hezbollah in that region.

Additionally, Trump humorously commented on the Biden administration’s hopes that Hezbollah would not stir issues on the northern front. The former president labeled Hezbollah as “very intelligent” in his speech.

These statements did not go unnoticed. Many local and Israeli media outlets have since voiced criticism against the former U.S. president. Nonetheless, in a part of his speech that has since gone viral, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to protecting Israel, emphasizing, “We must protect Israel; there is no other option.”
