News of the Killing of the Brother of a Prominent Leader in the Military Wing of Hamas in an Air Strike

Palestinian media sources reported today that the brother of Mohammed Deif, the commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, has been killed in an Israeli airstrike. This event marked another major incident in the ongoing conflict in the region.

Local media highlighted that Deif’s brother and three other family members were targeted and killed in their residence in Khan Yunis. Videos purportedly showing the affected residence have been circulating among social media users, bringing more attention to the incident.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed in an official statement that they have struck over 70 targets in Gaza during the night. Additionally, Palestinian news outlets reported that a total of 31 citizens, including Deif’s brother, lost their lives, with many more injured in Israeli raids that spanned regions from Khan Yunis to Deir al-Balah and Tal al-Zaatar.

Earlier this week, the Health Ministry in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli strikes had reached 900, including 260 children and 230 women, with another 4,600 reported injured.
