Hamas-backed Media Releases Initial Moments of “Al-Aqsa Storm” Operation Against Israel

In a recent development, media sources affiliated with the Palestinian organization Hamas have unveiled images capturing the initial phases of the military operation in the Gaza Strip perimeter. The operation, termed “Al-Aqsa Storm”, was initiated by Mohammed Al-Deif, the commander of Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades.

Al-Deif, in an audio message, remarked that the move is a response to curb Israeli transgressions. He mentioned, “The first strike of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation has already seen over 5,000 rockets targeting the enemy (Israel).”

On the other side, the Israeli military confirmed in a statement that a group of “terrorists” had infiltrated from the Gaza Strip, following the barrage of rockets, advising residents in the vicinity of the Gaza border to remain inside their homes for safety.

Ground reports also indicate that approximately 100 Hamas fighters penetrated four settlements in the Gaza envelope, leading to confrontations between Palestinian militants and local defense groups.

Further heightening the situation, Israel activated its warning sirens in Jerusalem, a direct aftermath of a heavy rocket salvo from the besieged Gaza Strip on Saturday, as reported by correspondents from the French Press Agency.
