In an unexpected turn of events, Al-Ittihad’s French striker, Karim Benzema, is reportedly orchestrating a significant transfer for his club during the upcoming winter transfer window. Benzema, who joined Al-Ittihad this year, is now setting his sights on a fellow Real Madrid teammate.
Having made his move to Al-Ittihad earlier this summer from Real Madrid on a free transfer, the 35-year-old Benzema has not stopped there. According to the popular show “El Chiringuito” aired on Friday, Spanish defender Nacho Fernandez might be leaving the ranks of Real Madrid by January 2024.
The show divulged that Benzema is actively persuading Nacho to join him at Al-Ittihad, especially if confirmation arises regarding Nacho’s departure from the Spanish capital’s team.

Nacho, aged 33, is known for his versatility in playing across various defensive positions, be it as a center-back or either of the full-back roles. A product of Real Madrid’s academy, Nacho climbed the youth ranks before making his senior team debut in 2012. It’s noteworthy that the Spanish defender, whose market value stands at 6 million euros, has so far played 327 official matches with Real Madrid across all competitions. During this tenure, he has netted 16 goals and provided 9 assists.
