In a shocking twist of events early on Monday near a New York bus station, prominent social activist Ryan Carson, 32, was brutally stabbed multiple times, resulting in his tragic death. The horrifying episode took place in Brooklyn just before 4 a.m., according to New York police reports.

The video footage, now making rounds, captures a harrowing scene: the assailant approaches Carson and his partner, initially exchanging blows before resorting to the fatal stabbing. Devastatingly, Carson’s partner cradled him in her arms before he was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

While the motive behind this seemingly unprovoked attack remains unclear, local sources, including New York’s ABC station, highlighted that the couple was returning from a wedding when the assault took place.
Further adding to the gravity of the incident, Ryan Carson was renowned for his commitment to social justice. Notably, he served as a long-standing campaign organizer for a non-partisan political organization in New York, Public Interest Research Group, which primarily focuses on waste policies. Additionally, Carson championed the No OD NY campaign, which significantly raised awareness around overdose prevention centers.
As of Tuesday evening, the NYPD released a photo of a yet-to-be-identified suspect wanted in connection with the murder, stating no arrests have been made.
