Peopoly Unveils Magneto X 3D FDM Desktop Printer with Innovative Magnetic Linear Drive Technology
Peopoly has officially introduced the Magneto X 3D FDM desktop printer, featuring a cutting-edge design and mechanics that enable it to achieve remarkable speeds, positioning it among the best desktop 3D printers available.
Peopoly didn’t settle for just a new design; they boldly opted for a modern technology never before used in 3D printers worldwide. Traditionally, printers relied on belt and pulley motion systems, which often caused various issues over time, such as belt tension problems, wear and tear, and loss of alignment during printing.
With the Magneto X printer, Peopoly has ventured into using Magnetic Linear Drive technology for fused filament fabrication (FDM), this innovation provides the printer with smoother motion, reduced noise, less friction, minimal vibration, and decreased maintenance needs, as well as fewer part replacements.
Interestingly, this technology is commonly used in Maglev trains, also known as magnetic levitation trains. These trains operate based on magnetic levitation force, relying on magnets rather than mechanical motors and tracks. They generate powerful electromagnetic fields underneath to levitate and propel them forward.
Peopoly emphasizes that the reduced rail friction extends the printer’s lifespan, reduces the need for calibration and adjustments, and simplifies the nozzle replacement process without belts or access barriers. Additionally, the printer boasts four independent Z-axes and 48 auto-leveling points across its surface to ensure enhanced precision, delivering a layer height of 0.1 millimeters during 3D printing.
Among its other notable features is its high printing speed, ranging from 800 millimeters per second to an impressive 1500 millimeters per second, Peopoly has also prioritized efficient cooling by equipping the printer with three fans to improve temperature control during rapid production. Furthermore, it includes a built-in 1080p camera that records at 30 frames per second and a 7-inch color touchscreen.
The Magneto X 3D desktop printer is available for initial orders at $1399 through the company’s website, with shipments expected to commence in mid-November.
