Microsoft has announced the release of the new Moment 4 update for Windows 11, bringing along a host of important features and system enhancements.
One of the standout features in this update is the new AI-powered personal assistant called “Copilot,” designed to answer user queries and perform tasks within the system efficiently.
Windows 11’s Paint program has also received substantial improvements in this update, including background removal, layered graphic design, and support for transparent images. Additionally, Microsoft will introduce AI-based image generation in the near future.
The Snipping Tool, another tool in the Windows 11 arsenal, has gained new capabilities that allow users to recognize and copy text from screenshots, as well as hide sensitive information.
In the Photos app, Microsoft has introduced an AI-based feature that reduces background noise in images, offering users control over the degree of reduction, it’s important to note that these features may roll out gradually to some users as Microsoft deploys them.
Furthermore, an enhanced version of the backup tool has been included to facilitate backup processes and the restoration of files and settings when transitioning to a new device.
The new update also introduces support for Passkeys, enabling users to create, store, and manage these alternative credentials for accessing accounts via fingerprint or facial recognition, providing an alternative to traditional passwords.
Users can also explore the redesigned File Explorer in Windows 11, featuring an improved interface.
The update is available for free from the Windows Update section in the system settings, ensuring users can easily access and benefit from these exciting new features and enhancements.
