Dutch seismologist Frank Hoogerbeets has predicted that stronger earthquakes are likely to occur in the coming days, following a 4.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Egypt’s northwest coast on Wednesday.
In a post on his X platform, Hoogerbeets said that the convergence of planets and the moon on September 19 could lead to increased seismic activity.
“However, we do not yet have a clear indication of the most dangerous areas,” he added. “It may not be so bad after all.”
The Egyptian National Institute of Geophysics and Astronomy said that the earthquake struck at 4:33 a.m. local time and was felt in most of the country. It was centered 265 kilometers northwest of Marsa Matruh and had a depth of 13 kilometers.
Hoogenbeets’ predictions have sparked widespread fear and panic around the world, particularly after he correctly predicted several earthquakes in recent weeks. He has linked his predictions to the movements and alignments of planets.
As explained in the latest forecast, a convergence of planetary and lunar conjunctions on the 19th can result in stronger seismic activity. But we have still no clear indication of higher risk areas. Perhaps it is not going to be too bad. pic.twitter.com/XGoKXC3v8o

Hoogenbeets previously warned of the possibility of a devastating earthquake, including the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6, 2023, which killed more than 50,000 people and injured tens of thousands. He predicted that earthquake three days in advance, although scientists have insisted that it is impossible to predict earthquakes.
