Elon Musk, the owner of the “X platform”, hints that the social network formerly known as “Twitter” will not remain free as it was.
Elon stated during a live broadcast on the «X platform» the reason:-
Musk said during a live broadcast on “X” “The single most important reason we’re moving to a small monthly payment for “X” is because it’s the only way I can think of to fight massive armies of robots”.
Musk added that having a system to pay for and prioritize premium users’ posts will help reduce the influence of bots.

Elon also stated that it will be a lower level of pricing:-
Musk started by saying “Since the robot costs a fraction of a penny, let’s consider it a tenth of a penny, but even if he had to pay a few dollars or something like that, a small amount, the actual cost of the robots is very high”.
And continued by saying “We’re actually going to come up with a lower level of pricing, we want it to be just a small amount of money, It’s a longer discussion, but that’s really the only defense against armies of robots”.
