Microsoft has launched its new app, “Designer,” for Android users, allowing them to create designs using artificial intelligence capabilities.
The app is currently available for free on the Google Play Store and can be used to create graphics suitable for social media, digital invitations, greeting cards, and more.
The application relies on the artificial intelligence model DALL-E, developed by OpenAI, the same company behind the popular AI ChatGPT.
Microsoft announced the “Microsoft Designer” tool back in May, initially available for use in the Edge browser and via the web before releasing a dedicated mobile app.
Similar to other AI-powered image tools, this new Microsoft app enables users to create designs by writing text commands, The app generates various graphics, allowing users to choose the one they find most suitable and make modifications as needed.
Additionally, the app can perform other tasks such as background removal from images, text composition, resizing images and designs, and more.
It’s worth noting that the app is still in the experimental phase and may not be compatible with all devices, while the app is free for now, Microsoft has mentioned that it may not remain free in the future.
Microsoft is expected to release a similar app for iPhone and iPad devices on the Apple App Store in the coming weeks.
