Honda has unveiled its electric scooter, the Motocompacto, inspired by its 1980s fuel-powered scooter known as the Motocompo, which was highly foldable.
This new Honda scooter redefines personal electric transportation entirely at an affordable price with its sleek, simple, innovative, and foldable design.
Sales for the Motocompacto start in November exclusively through the company’s website and Honda and Acura dealerships, priced at $995.
The company has designed the emission-free Motocompacto to suit modern urban mobility, providing passengers with an easy, eco-friendly means of transportation.
With a weight of 18.7 kg, a top speed of 24 km/h, zero emissions, and a driving range of up to 20 km, the Motocompacto can be fully charged in three and a half hours in both folded and ride-ready modes using a common 110-volt outlet.

Motocompacto supports the company’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by assisting customers in comprehensive emission-free transportation, Honda developed its electric scooter as an innovative approach to personal electric mobility, earning it 32 patents.
The foldable Motocompacto can easily transform into a small, lightweight carry-on bag that can be conveniently stored in the car, public transport, or tight spaces.
Motocompacto is an ideal way to navigate urban landscapes and college campuses, it was designed with passenger comfort in mind, featuring a comfortable seat, secure footrest, storage space, a digital speedometer, a charge gauge, and a convenient carrying handle.
Passengers can use a smartphone app to adjust personal settings, including lighting and riding modes, via Bluetooth technology.
Motocompacto uses a heat-treated aluminum frame, sturdy bottom-exposed wheels, bright front and rear lights, side reflectors, and a welded steel lock ring compatible with most bicycle locks.
Charging is fast and convenient using the small, storable standard charger, Honda offers a practical range of branded Motocompacto accessories, including a helmet, backpack, clothing, and more.
