Storm Daniel causes severe damage in Libya (horrific scenes in video)

The state of Libya, overlooking the Mediterranean coast, is witnessing catastrophic repercussions as a result of Storm Daniel, which left thousands dead and missing in the Arab country, with the city of Derna in northeastern Libya completely damaged.

The Red Crescent in the Libyan city of Benghazi announced an increase in the number of deaths to more than 250 people, and the loss of several people, while the head of the government in charge of parliament, Osama Hammad, said that the number of deaths reached 2,000 people.

At the same time, solidarity campaigns were launched in Libya to help people affected by Storm Daniel.

Libya allocates 200 million dinars to places affected by Daniel

The head of the Libyan government mandated by the parliament, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Emergency and Rapid Response, Dr. Osama Hammad, revealed the allocation of 200 million dinars to municipalities, cities and areas affected by the floods and floods left by the Mediterranean storm Daniel.

Libyan media published a list of the affected places and the amounts assessed for each city.

It is noteworthy that Libya witnessed a severe storm «Daniel» and left more than 2,000 deaths, according to the statements of the Prime Minister, with the northeastern city of Derna declared a disaster area, as well as the country’s flags lowered and a state of mourning for 3 days.
