Three French regions have pledged one million euros in support to victims of the devastating earthquake that struck parts of Morocco on Friday/Saturday night, leaving hundreds dead and injured.
The “Ocstania” of southern France, the Alps of Côte d’Azur and the island of “Corsica” issued a joint statement published in the local media, including a commitment to provide humanitarian aid worth one million euros, which will be directed according to the needs to be announced by Morocco.

French President Macron participates in G20 summit in New Delhi

According to the latest update by Moroccan authorities, 1,037 people died and 1,204 were injured in the quake, which measured seven on the Richter scale, the deadliest in the country’s history in nearly a century.
